I just got home and saw your comments Serenity. Wow! I think you and your friend must have scared the crap out of them. Here they are studing an article about how diseased brained boogiemen (or in your case boogiewomen) apostates are coming to get them and here are two of them right before them. They'll be talking about it for weeks.

I found the magazine and thumbed through it. I found this quote interesting:
"apostates are "mentally diseased" and they seek to infect others with their disloyal teachings"
I feel sorry for those of you who have to go to the KH and listen to the poison they spew from the platform.
In the paragraph that followed the above quote they try to explain why jdubs shouldn't listen to anything that doesn't agree with the Watchtower. It says because they love truth they are not interested in twisted teachings. The gullible don't seem to understand that truth can stand up to anything and only fear of truth would keep them from investigating something they have been taught.
What really comes in this article is the Watchtower's fear of truth and fear of being investigated.
Well I'm done. Can't stomach reading much of this cultish vomit.
Later when I'm not so queasy I'll look to see if Blondie posted any comments on this article.

The Meetings Really Suck Lately
by Pika_Chu inwarning.....profanity ahead...wimps may want to leave this page.... perhaps it's stupid bringing this up when all you guys are up to speed with how the gb is full of shit anyway, but i just feel like complaining about it.
the borg is royally fucked up, and we need to call them out on it.. all the talks are about armageddon being close, closer than ever, etc.
you know, the usual crap...we've all heard a thousand times...puke puke.... then there's the added factor that everyone in my congo is actually convinced that they cannot miss even a single meeting.

I was totally bored at the meetings even when I still believed it was the truth. The only way I could cope with going to the meetings was to go as little as possible so I would work overtime so that by the time I got off it was too late to attend. Or I would work an extra half day on Saturdays. This was great because not only did I get out of the meetings and Saturday morning door knocking my paychecks were much bigger. It was a win win situation for me. You might try something like that while you are living at home. That way they will only think you "weak in the truth". Not a total full blown aposate.
But that is a temporary measure while you plan your great escape. Once you no longer believe in it the best thing you could do is what Farkel and Timothy said. You need to cut your losses and get out. If you try to play the game of pretending to be a JW to keep your family and conditional friends it will effect your mental health. The longer you live the lie weaker you will become as a person and it will be even harder for you to take a stand. I've seen some on the internet who have wasted the first half of their life being a JW and are wasting the second half pretending to be a JW. I find it very sad.
It would be impossible for me to describe the load that was lifted off of me the day I told the Watchtower to stuff it.

The meetings at the Kingdom Hall have always sucked. You're just begun to notice it. Once you wake up to the fact that the meetings suck it will only get worse. I think it is called the Dyson Effect.

My muslim coworker: I'm comforted with the fact that some people just have to go, there just has to be a purge.
by Joliette ini got the biggest wtf look on my face when my coworker said this to me a week ago.
she actually felt comforted with the fact that the sinners of this world 'will just have to go.

I guess if what your coworker meant by sinners is those who like to bring harm to other people that is one thing. However if by sinner they meant anyone who believes different than they do that is a different matter. There is no shorage of people who believe that they have the one true religion and that God has got their back and is going to kill everyone who isnt part of their little group of true believers.

Does your conscience ever hurt you for........
by journey-on in.....bringing someone into the organization of jehovah's witnesses?
personally, i had several bible studies, but thankfully, never got any of them all the way to baptism.

I didn't have any exclusive studies that became JWs. I had a few studies that I would fill in on as conductor that became Jdubs. I had several studies that were turned over to me and several I turned over that became also became Jdbubs. This was pre 75 so the Tower was experiencing a lot of growth.
No, I don't feel guilty but looking back I do wish that I had been offering something better. I think the reason I don't feel any guilt is that I have no bad feelings to those who sucked men in. They were good people and were doing what they thought was right. They didn't know they were scamming me like I didn't know I was scamming those that I studied with.

Watchtower Not One Female!
by Marvin Shilmer inwatchtower not one female!.
today i uploaded a new article to my blog taking a fresh look at a now 40-year-old watchtower illustration of what it terms the modern-day theocratic organization of jehovah's christian witnesses.
something is missing in the picture.

What I find interesting is that there are women who go to work, have important positions, are in charge of others including men who go to the KH and accept this kind of nonsense. They' would think it unfair and wrong for things to be this way at work but in Jehovahland it is ok.

It looks like he may have some facial hair. Well there you go, an evil person thru and thru.
I wish other newpapers would have picked up on this article so it would have been seen nationwide. It covers a lot of the JW nonsense the public isn't aware of.
Thanks for posting it.
